Jamey Carman

Hello!  I am excited to be returning for my third year as Assistant Principal here at Stanley Middle School!  I look forward to having students on campus all year and contributing to the amazing staff, students, and community. 

After working in neighboring school districts for my first 14 years in education, I love being a Wildcat!  Previously, I served as Vice Principal at Sequoia Middle School in Pleasant Hill and prior to that was Head Counselor at Walnut Creek Intermediate.  I grew up in Oakland, before attending UCLA for undergrad and USF for grad school.  My love of working with young people and education goes back multiple generations in my family and I continue to be inspired by the opportunity to affect students and teachers in a positive way.  

In the education world, I have particular interests in Master Scheduling, Student Safety and Support, Special Education, U.S. History, writing, and sports.  Outside of school, I am usually chasing my two daughters, playing disc golf or basketball, reading, or cheering for the A's, Warriors, 49ers, and Arsenal.
