David Schrag

David Schrag grew up in the Bay Area and attended High School in Davis, California. He received his B.A. in English from U.C. Davis in 1993 and his Multiple Subject  teaching credential from Sacramento State in 1995. He taught 5th and 6th grade in South Hayward for eight years at a Title I elementary school where he focused on community outreach and intervention programs. He received a Masters in Education from Stanford University in 2003. He began his administrative career in Belmont, where he was an Assistant Principal at Ralston Middle School. His interests include playing with his kids, reading, sports and hip hop dance. He maintains his weekly adult hip hop dance class at Dance Mission Studios in San Francisco. He currently lives in Walnut Creek with his wife and three children.
